About Bowling Green Youth Baseball League

Bowling Green Youth Baseball League

Bowling Green Youth Baseball, Inc. was founded in 2016 for the local youth in the Bowling Green and Warren County area. We began playing at Historic Pedigo Park.  Our Majors 50/70 division is for players ages 11-12 (as of May 1st). We also have a minors 46/65 division for players ages 8-10 (as of May 1st).  Both divisions offer both spring and fall seasons, leadoff/pickoff play, and each division finishes with a league tournament.

Beginning with the 2020 spring season, our Cal Ripken League moved to Basil Griffin Park as a registered league with Warren County Parks and Recreation. Beginning with the 2019 season, we added Babe Ruth for players ages 13-17.  To accommodate our exponential growth, Babe Ruth added a second facility, playing at both Lampkin Park and Hobson Grove Park.

We strive to make the players feel like they are in the big leagues by playing music, calling players out onto the field, and we play the National Anthem before games. Babe Ruth also offers in-game interviews with spectators, as well as fun games and entertainment for the kids.  We offer a full menu of affordable hot and cold concessions.

The BGYBL board consists of volunteers that help make the experience fun and safe for the  players. All managers and coaches undergo thorough background screening and are approved by Warren County Parks and Recreation (Cal Ripken) as well as Bowling Green Parks and Recreation (Babe Ruth).

We have all-stars at the end of spring league play for Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth. Our all star teams have won Kentucky State Championship titles and competed at the Ohio Valley Regional Tournament.
